These people do.

The social sentiment aggregator, Amplicate, has collected hundreds of tweets about Infusionsoft and 9/10 people agree that Infusionsoft flat-out rocks. As for the other person, they probably weren’t ready to use such a powerful email marketing app.

Infusionsoft is a company built on customer service. By offering a consumer-friendly free trial and month-to-month service, their users choose to keep Infusionsoft because of the great customer support, friendly staff and quality software that just works.

Bryan Dulaney from JVEruption posted a thorough review and shares feedback on his review of  Infusionsoft. I wanted to pick it apart and speak to a few topics that he raised about Infusionsoft.

I don’t know how else to say it but to say it: you got to automate your business if you want to make serious cash. Anyone who is spending time managing their e-mail database manually is either not too bright or simply incredibly stubborn. Add to that manually processing sales and you’ll definitely be operating your business in the dark ages. It simply doesn’t make sense to operate your business in any other way other than complete automation. This is exactly the leverage that InfusionSoft gives you with their comprehensive software services. I liken it to Ron Popeil’s “set it and forget” mantra as this is pretty much what you end up doing with your website marketing efforts. You simply set up the program with your particular website information and e-mail database and the software does the rest. This software is incredibly invaluable and will guarantee that you take your business to the next level.

Bryan has a point — business is not just about choosing a solution and sticking with it, it’s about the amount of effort you pour into it and the results you get. Infusionsoft gets results! Infusionsoft is that intelligent marketing solution that makes all these systems talk to each other.

Like many have discovered, the software is so powerful, it takes a bit of configuration and setting up to be able to rest comfortably. This is where he shares the less than favorable side of powerful CRM, email marketing and eCommerce software:

The only real downside to using InfusionSoft is that you may have to manually set a lot of the systems up the first time you begin using it. This can be pretty time consuming and may even make you bang your head against the wall couple of times, but once you get everything up and running you’ll make up the time spent very quickly as the software begins to do its work.

This is true, new customers need to budget time to learn the interface (we try to be intuitive), practice with how follow up sequences work and toy with your first campaign before digging into the meat of the business. Following the first week or so, you should be ready to hit the big switch and turn on automation for your business. We’re always improving and making the software more valuable, intuitive and exciting. We do this by accepting top ideas from customers, reviewing customer surveys and simply just being plugged into the needs of entrepreneurs and small businesses.

He concludes –

Simply put, I’m a fan. If you’re serious about having a business that runs like a well oiled machine, then you need to automate it. Personally, I can’t think of any better service out there to do this than InfusionSoft.

Thanks, Bryan, for this great review. We can’t wait to hear of your success and transform your business into a case study!

David Raab published an updated review on Infusionsoft, which includes his recent conversations with Scott Martineau, the company’s founder. He covers topics including the market that Infusionsoft is aiming for and the unique solution that Infusionsoft affords for entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Here are a few excerpts from his blog entry:

It showed that Infusionsoft has mastered the art of a clear, simple value proposition: “Fix Your Follow-up, Double Your Sales. Guaranteed.” Um, any questions? That particular headline is inside their site, but the one on the main page (“One ‘Killer App’ to Grow Your Business Fast”) makes a similar promise about growth.

[...]

Small businesses need marketing support. Infusionsoft’s original solution was personal set-up assistance funded by a $2,500 to $5,000 implementation fee. But of course the fee itself was a barrier to sales. Infusionsoft has therefore invested heavily in making its system even easier to use and in providing extensive self-help features such as video tutorials. With those in place, it last month stopped charging the set-up fees.

[...]

Many small businesses will pay for help when the value is clear. For them, Infusionsoft has developed an array of small-ticket service options, such as a $299 “data transition service” to import existing customer lists. This lets business owners purchase exactly what they feel they need.

An Infusionsoft user, Matt Bredel (‘TheWebReviewer’), gave Infusionsoft a shot and shared his fair and balanced review of Infusionsoft through his purchase, setup and implementation. He details how his experience was and discussed varying points of the process that Infusionsoft users go through when migrating their business into Infusionsoft. He also recorded a video about the software and the value it provides to small business owners.

I’ve dissected and shared additional perspective into Matt’s Infusionsoft review:

In middle 2008, I found myself pulling my hair out trying to manage a handful of websites and a whole lot of email lists. I was using 1AutomationWiz (1ShoppingCart) at the time to manage NetWebVideo (which included processing credit cards, managing affiliate marketing campaigns, and email marketing).

This is a common problem that Infusionsoft intends to solve — the headaches and sleeplessness over managing multiple systems. Matt discovered value right away from this big win for choosing Infusionsoft.

Right now, 1AutomationWiz does not offer much of an API interface (something that Infusionsoft does VERY WELL!…Custom applications and reports are pretty easy…with a little bit of technical know-how).

The Infusionsoft API is a secure method of accessing the contacts, orders, reports and other valuable data to the business and developing additional add-ons, customizations and tweaks that aren’t normally thought of when using Infusionsoft. The Infusionsoft’s API is based on the common XML-RPC standard and data is secured through SSL transport. As you can tell, this is an attractive asset that satisfies nearly any customer.

I did find InfusionSoft to be counter-intuitive at first.  But after playing around with tag assignments, template creations, round-robin assignment (and so much more), I saw “the light”.

We often call this occurrence the ‘Infusionsoft moment’ for a reason. It’s when all the pieces of the puzzle snap in and one sees the real value of Infusionsoft. The crm solution is very comprehensive and is unlike nearly any marketing software out there.  As Matt points out, this could have been very intimidating, but with an open mind and willingness to see how the application works, he found his Infusionsoft moment.

The bottom line from Matt himself:

  • I spend MUCH less time on simple customer/list management (over 50%!)
  • My email marketing campaigns are bringing in more money then ever.
  • Customer complaints (usually due to incorrect billing) are down 50%.
  • Implementation of more complicated marketing funnels are now possible (and easy).
  • The scalability of using InfusionSoft seems rather endless.

Thank you, Matt, for sharing your feedback about our software. We strive to make it as valuable as possible for entrepreneurs. It makes us proud every time we hear about small businesses growing sustainably, reliably and seamlessly like Matt did.
